Datadog On-Call Integration

Connect Cronitor to Datadog On-Call to page the right team when a monitor alerts and send a recovery when it returns to a healthy state.

Before you begin

Collect these values from Datadog:

  • Your event-management intake URL, such as https://event-management-intake.datadoghq.com
  • A Datadog API key
  • The exact name of the Datadog On-Call team that should receive pages

Cronitor securely stores the API key and sends alerts to Datadog over HTTPS. The configured API key is never displayed after the integration is created.

Connect Datadog On-Call

  1. Open Settings > Integrations, click Create Integration, and select Datadog On-Call.
  2. Give the integration a descriptive name and unique key.
  3. Enter the Datadog webhook URL, API key, and On-Call team.
  4. Click Create Integration.
  5. Add the integration to one or more Notification Lists.

Cronitor sends its standard webhook alert payload to Datadog. The delivery URL includes integration_id=cronitor and routes the event using the On-Call team you selected.
